Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website. Please read it carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data. This policy is designed to comply with the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK), the CCPA/CPRA (California), the LGPD (Brazil), and other applicable privacy laws.

PixelConvertor is operated by SoundsWire LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste 38385, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, which is the controller of the personal data described here.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect on the site includes:

  • Personal data, such as your name, email address and other contact details, only if you provide them voluntarily, for example when you email us.
  • Usage data collected automatically when you access the website, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and the pages you viewed before and after visiting the site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, which we use to measure activity on the website and store certain information. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

1.1 Images You Process

The image tools run in your browser. The images you add are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers, so we never receive, store or see them.

  • Results are stored in your browser's IndexedDB storage so the result page can show them, and they expire after one hour. When you send results from one tool to another with "Continue with", they are kept for up to 10 minutes for the next tool to pick up.
  • The background removal tools download an AI model (U²-Net) from models.pixelconvertor.com the first time you use them. Your browser keeps the model in its cache storage, so later visits don't download it again. Downloading the model sends a normal web request, including your IP address, to our hosting provider, but no image data.
  • You can clear these stored results and cached files at any time through your browser's settings for site data.

1.2 Google Technologies

We use Google products including Google Analytics and Google AdSense. We implement Google Consent Mode v2 to respect your consent choices for the following signals: ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization.

1.3 Advertising and Google Cookies

The ads on this site are served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Other ad vendors or ad networks that Google works with may also use cookies on this site to serve ads.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices, or, in the EU and UK, at www.youronlinechoices.eu. If you opt out, you may still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing history.

To learn how Google uses data when you use this site, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. The cookies involved are listed in our Cookie Policy.

2. Use of Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve our website
  • Personalize your experience
  • Analyze usage and trends to improve our services
  • Show relevant advertisements (Google AdSense)
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing activities (Google Analytics)
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for analytics and advertising cookies where required
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for site security, fraud prevention, and strictly necessary cookies
  • Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) when providing requested services
  • Compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c))

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

  • Service providers, such as our analytics provider (Google Analytics), our advertising partner (Google AdSense) and our hosting provider (Cloudflare, which delivers the website and the AI model files), only to the extent necessary to provide their services. Google may act as an independent controller for certain products (for example, Ads) and as a processor for others (for example, Analytics) under the applicable terms.
  • Authorities, if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

3.1 International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, and additional measures where necessary.

4. Third-Party Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and services that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of third-party sites. Please review the privacy policies of those sites.

5. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (where applicable)
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format)
  • For California residents: opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information by choosing "Reject non-essential" under "Cookie Settings" in the site footer, or by emailing us
